Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had excellent size rooms with very good staff and a lovely atmosphere in a convenient location, although the heating was an issue that needed fixing. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a pleasant stay.
The hotel offered spacious, clean, and comfortable rooms that allowed us to escape the noise. The service was excellent, with friendly and professional staff who were attentive to our needs. The location was ideal for our purposes, close to the Cairnryan ferry port. However, the dining experience, although initially promising with a good selection, fell short due to a cold dining room. The facilities were satisfactory overall.
The hotel is housed in a lovely historical building, easy to find, and ideal for our one-night stay, though it could benefit from some outdoor enhancements. The rooms were large and very comfortable with easy chairs in a sitting area by the television, but my sister had to request to be moved due to noise from an older, dated room in the 1970s that was a considerable distance away. The service was efficient and kindly, with some room for improvement in wine service due to a young and inexperienced staff. Despite the property's charm, the dining area was not as enjoyable, even with radiators provided. Overall, for our needs, the place worked well, but it's clear that it may have aged a bit and is not the best value for money at times.
